Clie N760 charging problem

Two months back, my clie started giving me problem. I plug the AC adapter to the power outlet by the wall. After 4 hours, The battery is still not fully charged. Also, the battery indicator in the pda doesn't work. Anyone out there please help....

I forgot to mention....
After I plugged in the pda to the AC adapter, I turn on the pda. The battery indicator doesn't show that it's charging. Sometimes I have to adjust the connection of the plug and the pda to make it work. After the battery indicator shows that it's charging, the battery is still not full after 4 hours.

Could be dirty connectors. While messing with the connection might eventually get the charge indicator to show there still might be too much resistence in the connection to get a proper charge current.

Try cleaning the contacts on both your clie and the hotsync cradle.

I don't have a solution, I can just commiserate: My 10-month old 760 is getting a little flakey on the connector. I need to jiggle it in the cradle, blow out dust, do a little voodoo routine. Some days it works on the 1st try, other days I need 5 or 6 tries but it is OK.

Normally my problem is getting it to sync OK, rather than recharge.

This happens with both of two cradles. However no problems really with the sync *cable* I had leftover from my 320, and use when traveling.

This started about a month ago. Annoying but I'm living with it. My only "quality" issue with the 760 which otherwise I think is excellent.

Thanks for all the replies.... I've noticed the same thing.... about jiggling the AC adapter.... Well, I'm still living with the clie.....

...count me in guys!!! but, i get used on tickling the right spot on my clie so she can charge and sync...*smile*
