I'm new to both the Clie and the concept of the memory stick. I have it in the Clie and it recognizes the stick. However, even though I have 25 MB of applications on the stick, when I switch to it with the triangle in the upper right hand corner, nothing shows up on the screen. Am I doing something wrong?

To execute applications on a memory stick, install them in the /PALM/Launcher directory. (You can use MSGate to see where they currently reside.) If necessary. move them to the above directory. When you switch to the Memory Stick view, you will see your applications arranged in a similar fashion to the HOME launcher.

Sony's method for switching between the RAM and MS launchers is a little cumbersome, but it works. There are a number of add-on launchers available which handle this task in better ways. There is discussion of this in several other posts. (I have not installed an add-on launcher.)

Finally, be aware of the the following:
1. Check the settings of your applications to be sure that everything points to the Memory Stick, (e.g. databases, place holder files etc.)
2. If you move applications into the handheld, make appropriate adjustments.
3. Some applications may not be designed to run from a Memory Stick and must be installed in the handheld RAM to work.

Hope this gets your applications running.

. . . and when you get tired of dealing with Sony's setup for managing applications on memory stick, here's a few more options (that work a lot better, in my opinion):
