Advantages and disadvantages

I am writing a report for school and would like to gather information concerning your opinions on the advantages and disadvantages of using a smartphone as compared to using both a pocketpc and a phone. Thank you for your help.

Having only ever used a Smartphone my imput may be unbalanced.
However, having both the phone and palm in one unit has been priceless. Memory could become an issue depending on the way you utilize it. Syncing with Microsoft Outlook is quick, easy, and does not eat up very much memory. I just started with ACT contact manager,(same concept as Outlook), and it dropped my memory 40%, and runs very slow. For someone wanting to access internet and e-mail wireless it makes it fairly easy.
