Instead of using Pocket DivX Player, download PocketMVP. Have fun! Craigie Slapster 02-06-2004, 07:44 PM I just have one question, why are all my video files so freaking slow on my iPAQ? they skip every 5 frames.... bass_machine 02-07-2004, 10:56 PM You probaly have too many open apps, go to the running apps and close some unused apps to free up some memory. Craigie 02-10-2004, 05:43 PM I found a soft reset prior to watching works well. Closing app's still leaves some residue lying behind. Craigie kayagirl 02-10-2004, 07:10 PM I think the original post was asking about the DVD to PPC software (I saw it on handango). It promises pretty much one click conversion of DVDs into a something you can watch on a PPC. I am really interested in this also- is this worthwhile? would the process Craigie posted above give you better (or noticeably better) results? And thanks for that link Cragie, very useful. Well I just installed it and it runs ok. It's a little flaky. You can't sit there and watch it copy your dvd for several hours.....so I'm not sure what happened - it's a 2 part process - one to copy the dvd and the second to convert it. It's like the first part ran, then I had to go tell it to rerun the 2nd part. btw, make sure you have plenty of hard drive space. My test movie was Finding Nemo - it was 124MB in computer harddrive space but was too big for my 128mb SD card. Craigie 02-20-2004, 09:02 AM I think size works out at about 110mb per hour. I run a 1Gb Microdrive and use a battery extender (have lots of AA batteries at the ready!!), and usually have 4 to 5 movies on it. Craigie PDA Street
