Hi, due to budget constraint (i lost my MS recently) ... Anyone have ideas or tricks to play MP3 without MS. Although only able to downloads 1 or 2 song.

Or anyone can suggest me a place (website) wich is cheap to ge a MS.

Try tealmovie. It is sharware, but will let you play movies directly from main memory.

Hi Bryan,

I may be confirming what you have already found out. Recently, I was looking at some Sony documentation and found a statement which said Audio Player requires all music files, both MP3 and ATRAC3, to be on the Memory Stick.

You might want to check the classifieds on this forum for ms's. You can find some good deals and most are willing to use some sort of payment protection or another. There are always people trying to get rid of stuff and if you get someone desperate enough you can grab a 128mb ms for $50 or under.

I have tried every trick I know to try and get mp3's on the clie but they all say I have to use MS. Try to use your sound utility to convert your mp3's to reminders and see if they will go on that way. I believe I have herd that you can doo that. I don't know the process on how to do that though, sorry. Any one know how to put sound utility conversions on the clie????
