I'm a Newbie to GPS. I realize I need to "locate" the various addresses I have in my address book, in order for the GPS to map a route to them. When I get to the "Locate" page, I choose "Find" which returns me to the "QueFind" page. Then I hit "Addresses" and the pop - up says "None Found". What's with that? Same pop-up when I hit "Palm OS Find" and "Cities" - all of em! Can anyone help me? I appreciate it.

Have you installed any Detailed Maps yet? If not you only have the basemap installed and it doesn't contain any address or POI information.
You need to follow the instructions and install Mapsource and then Download the detailed maps to your iQue. On the Palm Destop after you install the software there will be a map install icon on the left side of the application. Use it to install a couple maps to test with. I think this is your problem but you didn't provide that much info to go on.

The method you are using seems correct and should be locating the addresses for you. That is providing that the street addresses you are trying to locate are in the proper fields in the Address application.
What you describe happening is what will happen when there is no address in the proper fields. That is of course that you have done what cme4oil mentions.

Thanks folks. I did download the maps, although I must say, they don't appear too detailed. On the bottom right, it reads "basemap". I can't see neighborhood streets for example, just county roads. Is there a way to confirm what maps I downloaded?
As for the address locations, I'm simply placing the address in my Outlook "Address" window. Is that right? How can I check to see if I put the address info in the proper location? Thanks again.

Sounds as though you didn't get the Detailed Maps installed.
To check, open "Preferences", choose "Que" from the upper right menu, then "Maps" from the left hand drop down menu, then choose Detailed Maps" from the right hand drop down menu. There you will see which "Detailed Maps" are installed (if any) and by clicking next to each can turn on or off which maps you need.

That's it! I'll try and go back to get the detailed maps. I'll find them by running the Palm Desktop program? Under "Mapinstall" or "install"? I notice there is something in the "install" que already, it says, "GMAPSUPP.PDB - Destination - Handheld" Does that sound like it? Thanks so much for hanging in there with me!

That's your detailed maps and probably your problem too. It is set to install on the Handheld. Unless it is a very small map file it probably won't fit. You need to change it to install to the SD Card.

Yes that is it. When you hotsync do you get any errors. I have this funny feeling that you may have tried to create Detailed maps to large to fit in the internal memory of the iQue. If that happens you will get a hotsynce error and see it in the log. If this is the case just delete the GMAPSUPP.PDB and create another one no bigger than the available memory you have in your iQue.
If you have a Secure Digital (SD) card to install your detailed maps to make sure you select "Secure Digital (SD) Card" as the destination after your done selecting the detailed maps to install. Detailed maps installed to the Secure Digital card will be named GMAPSUPP.IMG and Detailed maps installed to the iQue internal memory with be named GMAPSUPP.PDB.
How large is your GMAPSUPP.PDB...

The "Address" on the QueFind page is to locate an address you key in. If you are trying to create a route to an place that already exists in your address book, bring up the address, then hit the routing icon at the bottom of the screen (3rd from the left). A QueRoutes message box comes up with "Route to (the addreess you picked) and icons for "Resume Navigation", "Route Preferences" and "Saved Rolutes" at the bottom of the QueRoutes window.
Choose "Route to xxxxxx" and the Ique will plot a course to it.
