Is there any utility that will deactivate only the voice record button. I want the other buttons to remain active, so I don't want to use Keylock.

Total Cost around $27 from www.tealpoint.com You can launch anything from anything, anywhere and "anyhow" you like it; this would include configuring the Voice Memo button to "do nothing" or "turn off." Is there a simple "one button off" hack/app available? I don't know. I was using the Voice Memo Button to "Launch" TealLaunch," but went back to having it remain "stock," as I use the voice memo more and more now and have abandoned my "separate" HD Vox Recorder. I think it's very cool that if you press and hold, record your message, then release the button it's off. I have noticed with the improved T3 Battery (better than 505, anyway) -- if you accidentally press the voice memo button and the T3 "wakes up," it shouldn't do much battery damage/draining, especially if your "timeout" is 2-3 minutes. alfie43 02-11-2004, 05:33 PM Yes and no. Go to www.whizoo.com. You will see some nifty little utlities for Palm. One is called "Power". I bought it last night....$8 to download. Power allows you to individualy deactivate any, or all, of the external buttons, including Voice Recorder. Unfortunately, this solves only half of the problem for me because the deactivation only works when the unit is off and it seems that I am always inadvertantly turning on VR whle I am using the T3. I wish I could set it so that only a double press would activate. But....Hey, for 8 bucks, you can't go wrong. Alfie PDA Street
