My ipaq 3635 has problems playing music for some reason. It is now affecting all sounds in all programs but only sometimes. It warps the sound either slowing it down or speeding it up or switching between the two so that music is not possible to listen to. If i'm watching a movie and the sound slows it slows the video too and same if it speeds up. I think it may be a problem with the audio chip but i dont know for sure. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and fixed it? I am out of warrenty so I can't send it back. Thanks in advance.

Did you recently purchase this device? If it's still under warranty I would send it in for repair or replacement (1-800-ok-compaq).

I would also make sure you don't have something else running in the backround that is hogging your processor....it's hard to tell unless you go into memory in your control panel....or use some other task manager.....like itask.....close everything else and try it again...

Did you manage to fix the sound problems. My 3660 running Windows 2002 is having the same problems and I am hoping it is not hardware.
Cheers

sorry it looks like it definitely is a sound problem. I suggest selling it on ebay with something in the description saying problematic sound. I've seen them sell for the same as good ones. Then use the money to buy a good one from ebay. Thats what im doing.
