Hi,
I have a program called Happy Days on my Palm that reads a custom birthday field containing a persons date of birth within the Palm Address Book and then writes out birthdays/anniversaries to the Palm Date Book program eg. B John Smith (40)
Are there similar tools to use on my Netbook?

None that I'm aware of. Happy Days just writes an entry to the Palm Datebook with the anniversary/birthday with years of duration of the event after you've entered the data in Contacts.
With Agenda, you enter the details of the anniversary/birthday with the start year in the anniversary section. The anniversary section then automatically calculates the duration of the event and you can have the event show through to the Agenda calendar section.
Looking at what I've just written, how would a Psion version of Happy Days save any effort over simply entering the exact same data in Agenda? Happy Days was one of those Palm programs that was written to fill a hole that Agenda already has filled. :) The only advantage of Happy Days is that it pulls the birthday from Contacts but you have no control over the display format of the birthday in the Palm DateBook. With Agenda, you can have the data displayed exactly as entered, e.g. "Cousin Bob's Birthday (64 years)" rather than "Robert Smith Birthday (1940)"
Plus, what do you do with people with birthdays and anniversaries who aren't in Contacts? I may have the contact as the husband but want to remember the wife's birthday as well. This means either the work of entering another contact or just entering a one line description of the wifes' birthday in the anniversary section of Agenda.
The anniversary section of Agenda was one of those things I think Psion got right all the way back to the Series 3 and I think you'll find just entering data directly into it is not time consuming and gives an excellent overview of important personal events in your life.
