Just wondering,
here at work we are trying to development a communcation bewteen one of our databases and a palm OS based PDA. The problem is that the program requires a palm desktop version of 4.0 or better, so does that mean I need a palm OS on my PDA of a 4.0 or better?

sounds like you just need the latest desktop software from Palm:

windows

So I dont need an OS upgrade? Just a desktop upgrade?

well you said the program requires palm desktop version 4.0 or better so that is definatly reffering to the desktop software at the links i posted above. whether or not you ALSO need an OS upgrade i could not say. whats the software? does it say you need palm OS 4.1?

hey,

i've been doing some experimenting with exporting in and out of palm desktop. i use a older version. definitely older than 4.0. if your database application says it needs 4.0 or later, it probably means that the palm desktop app needs to be newer. i wouldn't think that it would care what os the PDA has.
