I have just bought a Revo, and want to transfer all the addressbook data from my Sienna. Can I use the infrared port? Or, can I use the PC backup files I have?

Can I use the infrared port? Or, can I use the PC backup files I have? MikeMcC 10-19-2002, 03:21 AM The version of PsiWin 2.3 which came with the Revo should be able to convert a Series 3 Data file (Siena) to the Revo's data format. If the file is already in the PC use the File Converter: Start > Programs > PsiWin 2.3 > File Converter then the converted file can be copied across to the Revo. You can do this by right clicking the file and dragging it to the Revo. Select Copy, not Copy and Convert, because it is already in native EPOC Data format. You cannot use Infrared for file transfer because the Siena's IR implementation only supports transfer between compatible machines - Siena, 3c and 3mx - and printing via an IR enabled printer. davidcj 10-31-2002, 09:14 PM :) Thanks for the info: it worked fine. I was able to transfer my data and agenda files with no problem. However, I have not managed to transfer text (.wrd) files. When I try to convert them, PSIWIN gives the message "There was a problem converting the file ......". PSIWIN identifies the files as "Series 3 Word". Any ideas? Or is this just one of those things? MikeMcC 11-01-2002, 01:57 AM PsiWin should convert S3 Word files to EPOC Word. Are they password protected? If so the password must first be removed. davidcj 11-01-2002, 12:17 PM Thanks Mike.. but I don't use password protection. Does the Siena use the same word format as the P3? Any other ideas? This is less critical than the data and agenda files, but I would like to port the word files over. David MikeMcC 11-01-2002, 01:44 PM Does the Siena use the same word format as the P3? Yes,the Siena, 3a, 3c and 3mx all use identical "Series 3 Word" files. Any other ideas? You could try converting from: Series 3 Word > Microsoft Word > EPOC (Revo) Word. PDA Street
