I have been having major problems with the screen on my Palm III. Its a few years old now, and now the screen often appears blank or partially blank. Pressing down (hard) on the screen often brings it back on. I did see on another forum that the problem was common enought, and one fix was to press down (hard)on the screen on power-up. That seems to work OK, but I was wondering is there a better fix?

In the states I would direct you to gethightech.com but I think you would find the cost excessive to have a new screen shipped.
I Have a name and an address for a repair facility in the Netherlands:http://www.sfinx.demon.nl/palm, name, Richard Rosenberger.
He may know of a location closer to you.
Best of luck.

I had the same problem. Took my III apart and found the screen edge connector had become loose.
5 minute fix and it now works like NEW.
