Reinstalling after hard reset

What needs to be reinstalled after a hard reset? after a soft reset? Version 2 release? 2.1 patch?

Release 2 no, patch yes. But right now, I wouldn't bother about that patch, since by all rumors, release 3 will come out sometime today. It will include the patch and much more.
