Basically the palm installer restricts you to installing stuff that it deems sutable for installation, even on the SD card. If an app has registered that it uses file with a certain extension, then install thing will allow you to put any file with that extention on the palm. I think an app exists that allows you to register any extension you want, if anyone knows the link that'd be helpful...
Short of that you have two options.
A) Use a card reader to put your html files on the SD card
B) download a program like Pilot Install which allows yoiu to install any file to your palms sd.
And yes, you can open html files on the palm using webpro.

1.Use ISILO X(FREE) to convert ANY HTML file
2.Use Isilo reader(trial 30 days and paid version) to read converted HTML files
3.Isilo files and isilo reader is backward compatible with Palm as well as PPC platforms (it is worth paying for reader after trial period)

I have converted several HTML files using the above method for nearly 2 years now!

ALL stored and launch from SD card

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Pilot Install doesn't or shouldn't convert the html file, it is merely a way of copying the html file to your sd card via the palm, in the absence of a card reader.
WebPro WILL then open and view the html file. I do this regularly, but i put my sd in my card reader.

I was wondering what the heck WebPro did, at 1.5MB!! I need to learn more about this. Yes, I use a CardReader to install files -- it's easier, faster, more direct and less "glitchy." However, if I want to surf the web, copy a web page EXACTLY, and read on the Palm, how is that done? Bear in mind you're talking to a guy that still hasn't figured out VersaMail -- I can SEND emails I write on the T3, but still can't "receive and download" emails from the PC to the T3 during Hotsync. I'm a sad case!

I use TealAgent to download info on restaurants, CNN, weather and movie times, for example. It does it all, and puts it in a "folio." Super. All the movie times for any zip code in a table, searchable by movie title or movie theater name! Likewise, TealDoc will convert PLAIN TEXT (copy the page and paste in notepad, eliminating pictures) -- and make a TealDoc out of it. All of these can be stored automatically on the card through HotSync. That's great if you just want to "gleen info" in plain text form.

However -- If I want to look at the Palm freeware site exactly as shown on the PC Monitor, I'm at a loss. TealAgent will "quickpaste" any web page but it's "stripped down" and contains HTML code despite me checking or unchecking the little "box." IIICRuled seems to have it down -- I just wish I were clever enough to know the "last 10%" of how to do it.

Would anyone mind explaining this to "RainMan" out here in CA??!

I'll write a full explaination when I have time soon. Sorry in a rush right now- but I think what you need to know is how to save the html file....
When browsing the webpage you want to view on your palm, right-click and press "View Source". Then it should open in notepad. Press "File" then "Save As" then browse to a folder in your SD card. Then type a filename in, and ensure you have typed ".html" as the file extension. Press Save. Then it's just a case of putting the card in your Palm, opening up web pro, finding the file on your SD by clicking open from card on the menu, and hey presto. Web pro should format it for viewing on your Palm. NOTE: the graphics will be missing!
It should be possible to preserve graphics as well, I don't generally do it though...
Do you guys have internet explorer 6? If so I think it's possible to "streamline" this process, saving the html file and graphics automatically to a folder which you can then open on your Palm... Anyway, let me know if the above does what you want. If you want to keep graphics too let me know and I'll try to explain the other methods when I have time!...

thanks for your explanations "rules",the problem is that notepad is limited to an amount of characters,so i dont know what to do there, and well it will be perfect if you try to tell us how to preserve the graphics through explorer

thanks a lot man
