I've hard reset Palms before but my SJ30 treats it as a soft reset: While unit is pugged in and on, I hold down the power button, use the reset pin at back, wait 5-10 seconds, then release power button, but no hard reset? I have repeated process with power initially off-- same result. Is there something different about this model to achieve a hard reset? I noticed that my power button (back button) will no longer turn off machine-- it simply gives me the drop down menu to select "Power Off". Could this be a quirk with my unit only? Getting a hard reset is imperative for me to clean up some problems.

That's a new one on me ! Try setting the pin first, then depressing & holding the power button instead of holding the powerbutton THEN setting the pin..

Sometimes these machines are picky about order

Hi there,

I've got exactly the same problem with my SJ30. Could you tell me how (if?) you were able to solve this.

Many thanks.
