An hour or so after going all out to tweak and improve my categories, views, etc. on my new T3, I found that my templates were gone, as were my various appointments, todos, and even my addresses and memos. It was
almost as though I had experienced a hard reset, but only the basic palm databases and my Datebk5 templates were gone. And I hadn't performed any sort of sync which might have been the culprit. I have a T3 which is only a couple of weeks old. I am thinking that this t3 for some reason didn't like my dbs and wrote over them with the original stock dbs, but I've never experienced anything like this.

Has this sort of thing happened to others? If so, are there any suggestions about what to do about this, both to restore all the work I just completed and to
prevent this trouble in the future.

I keep thinking (hoping)that these databases have been pushed away somewhere interesting, and I just have to find them.

Thanks for the support.

I'm far from an expert, but have you run the "Repair" option on the install disk? And are you showing the existence of data in your
PIM database folders? Is your PIM data still on your Palm Desktop? If not, you should be able to use the "import" function to put the data back onto your Palm Desktop, then set your PIM conduits to "Desktop Overwrights Handheld" and hotsynch....however I know just enuf to be dangerous so I'd wait for someone more knowledgable to give you some advice.
Good luck!

Are you using the release "sk" release for Datebook 5? If so then I'd contact Pimlico and advise them. If not then be certain to upgrade to this sk release found here in the lower right hand side of the page.

Look for the download icon and then immediately below it.
