After much deliberation, i bought this mount from Seidio now. Will get it in a couple of days. Any one else using this mount? If yes, can you tell me what you think of it?

I have had one for quite a while. I got the universal also which is cheaper and smaller. It was well worth the money. I made two mods to it. I used the Dremel and cut about 1/2 of the width of the lower right support tab. This was to clear the plug from the car power adapter, which sits to the right. Ironically I now exclusively use the Radio Shack car adapter, which has the universal palm connector, since I feel it is much more robust of a connection. I was always worried about breaking the connector pin fiddling around in the car. As a result the mod to the mount is of no help when using the palm connector.

The other mod I made was to shave notches in the rubber in the side arms. I used a Xacto blade. I did this so that the side buttons and thumbwheel would not be pressed in. I also trimmed the thickness of the rubber a bit. Now I keep the side arms completely in at all times. To install/remove the iQue, I use a slight angle when inserting and it just snaps-in. Very convenient.

I use the vent clip mount and leave it in the car all of the time. I like it a lot. Works very well in my car (GM minivan) and it is well worth the money.

I got this mount installed in my car. Just thought ill let you all know something if you decide to buy this mount.

1. Buy the 14" gooseneck instead of 8". 14 fits most cars

2. The swivel holder with large arms is most ideal for holding the iQue. I bought the short arm swivel thinking it would be a snug hold. but turns out that the thickness of the iQue with the leather flap is just as much as the side arms stick out.

3. The windshield suction is pretty strong, but the gooesneck dangles and sways sometimes when i drive over bumps or potholes. To fix this i used adhesive velcro strips to lock the gooseneck in place.

4. This mount is not really designed with iQue in mind, but Seidio promotes this as a mount designed for iQue. I agree with 'tecman', The right bottom leg kind of comes in the way when you plug in your pin charger. You have to always plug in the charger before you place the Q in the mount. The cushion on one of the side arms presses the esc button and partially covers the jog dial. I sent them a feedback, but they never replied back.

overall, this is a nice and cheap mount. Will post pictures later.

I have been waiting for the release of the Seidio G2500 for the iQue as my primary car unit. Have a big ol' Expedition SUV and think it will work out just fine.

Will keep denizens posted.

Appreciate the tip on the 14" next and coupon code!
