Hi, hopefully I am using the correct forum for this question.

I bought my Palm IIIc for one reason. To connect to my Yahoo mail account and maybe browse the net when I'm gone. That and to play Pong! Yes!

So, my question being, what's the best way to do this. Is it possible say to use my MSN account on the road with my Palm? If not can anyone recommend a good nationwide ISP for what I need. Even one with lets say a five hour max time per month would suffice.

Secondly, I will most likely set up another email account to send and receive most emails as Yahoo's web based server isn't that convenient, but what about a browser? Anything out there that comes close to a "normal" IE or Netscape set up?

Thanks

Ed

hey,

there is a browser that i would consider norm al. it's palmscape by ilinx. i think it's as close as you can get to netscape or explorer. i use it through a cellular phone on the same dial-up account with my isp that i'm using right now. you get a free two week trial, so there is nothing to loose.

yeah. Just to update what bechcorp said, palmscape is great but is no longer availible. It's now called Xiino. It's by the same company and works better than Palmscape although there isn't much difference. It still has a two week trial.

I believe that you can use the MSN account. Check with their tech folks to be sure. Most ISP accounts require a different log in ID and password if the call comes from a different location. This is not always the case but it is easy to check.
I like ATT.net and use their 800 numbers on the road with my wire modem.
My favorite browser is Blazer from HandSpring. Do a demo on both Xiino and Blazer. One shoe fits one guys foot and not the others.
