Hi,
I have an ipaq 3835. I would like to view pictures on my ipaq. Do I need special software? If so, where can I get it?
Thanks.

You are able to view bmp and gif files without any additional software.

Thanks for the note, but how do I go about viewing. Do I have to put them in a specific file folder??? Or do I just create a folder and insert the pics there???

That depends on how you want to organize them and the file explorer you are using. If using 3970's native file explorer you should use the My Documents folder on either the iPAQ or removable media for files and folders.

Steve,
I think I got it. I sync-ed my ipaq 3850, then copied and pasted the pics (.jpg's) to my SD chip. I resync-ed and I was able to view the pics. Now I need to pursue how to do it on a slideshow setup and I'll be all set.
Thanks.

The 3900 series comes with the iPAQ Picture Viewer and has iPresenter on the CD. I'm not sure if iPresenter was available on the CD when I had my 3870 but you should be able to download a demo from http://special.presenter.com. And there are dozens of software programs for slide shows -- check out www.Handango.com or your favorite PPC software source.

Steve,
I found i-presentation software on my ipaq 3835 cd (not 3850 sorry for the previous typo). Can I use this in and of it self as a "slideshow generator" on my ipaq, or do I still need additional software?
