I've gotten some indications that since Vodafone has purchased J-Phone there is a possibility that you can use GSM phones in Japan. Does anyone know whether you can use a Treo 600 (T-Mobile GSM model) in Japan assuming it is unlocked? I've perused Vodafone's website and have not seen anything definitive. I have put one of their USIM chips into my Treo 270 here and was able to get a Roaming Connection to the T-Mobile network in my area but I don't know what would happen in Japan.
