Velo1 Telephone Connectivity

I have a Velo1 with an RJ-11 connection to the modem. Every time I try to load the Telephone Connectivity Kit, the machine goes haywire with a loud noise like a Geiger counter, the screen flashes and I have to do a full reset to factory defaults.

There is no indication of an "Internal Modem on COM4" anywhere except in the Fax module. The Communications facilities only offer a Hayes Compatible on COM1 and a V-module Modem on COM5 but the connectivity software seems to insist on the COM4 option - which I don't have!

Anyone out there know what I should do?
