A colleague and myself both puchased a Psion 5 from a supplier at the same time. Both units have failed with the same fault on the same day several years later - a failure of the touch sensitive functions of the screen. We now have to navigate around the screen using the keyboard. All other functions work normally.

Is this an amazing coincidence - or is it a software fault? Has anyone else experienced a similar fault in the last couple of weeks? Is there any way to fix it (other than returning it to Psion for a fixed price repair)?

Is this an amazing coincidence - or is it a software fault? Amazing coincidence - yes. Software fault - more likely to be a hardware fault. Backup and perform a hard reset and see if that fixes it. If not, it is almost certainly a repair job.
