Hi, I'm new to the Palm world, and just got by e-mail a PDB file, I've synced and the file is on my M515 but I don't know how to view it. Is there some software I should get?? Something like a browser? thanks in advance...

Sir:

You need to know what this application was written for. I suspect this is either a database file, or requires an "E-Book" type reader.

Once you find out what protocol it was intended for, search for the "viewer" at www.palmblvd.com or www.freewarepalm.com.

Any probs ? Please post reply & someone out there will know what to do.. Just need a little more information

well the easiest way would be to ask whoever sent it to you in your email what program you needed to use the .pdb file. the more drawn out way would be intall the program Filez (if you do not have it already) find the .pdb file in filez and get the creator id. then go to:

http://dev.palmos.com/creatorid/

and enter the 4 character creator id in the box and do a search (remember the id is case sensitive) and it will tell you what program created it.

you can get the creator id faster by just viewing the .pdb file in a text editor (well faster provided you have a good editor and do not have Filez installed). its the 64th-67th character starting with 0 as the first character of the file.
