Hello,
I'm wondering if I need to install this T3 Update. They say, SD cards get faster, and I believe to remember, I've heard that it solves some other problems, too. But I don't have any problems right now, it works just fine. (OK, DateBK5 crashes all the time, but it doesn't on the Palm Simulator... Don't know if that's got something to do with the T3 Update).

Palm website says, the update is going to replace my ROM and therefore erase all data from the Hendhelp. Why this?? And if it really does... I'm a bit scared of doing that. (Yes, I did only one BIOS update in my life, right before the mainboard was about to be replaced. :o But then it worked again...)

My question is now: How can I determine whether I already have that update on my Palm. Is there some version string I can read this out, or some characteristics of files in the ROM? (I can see these files in a file manager.) I have bought the device last weekend, so it's not too old yet.

Would be nice if someone can tell me that I don't need the update (and that would be correct then :D )

follow the instructions as set on the update. if you need it then it will be updated. if you have the update already on the tt3 then it will let you know and wount update anything.

Hi,

noticed you said thst DateBook 5 keeps crashing on you.

I would recommend that you download the latest step release which is v5.1a, sk

Its avaialble at the following link:

http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/datebk5.htm

Look at the right hand side of the screen under a flashing 'update' banner. There have been many issues with the T3 and DateBook, but this version is quite stable.

Good luck...
