I saw some recent applications that fellow iQue owners have made, and released to the community here. Today I said to myself "Hey! I could do that!"

So I went and got the Garmin SDK, and then found out I had to get CodeWarrior.

I guess I've been coding in the Java environment too long, because I was stunned that there is no "free, open source" code development studio to make stuff for the Palm platform.

Or am I mistaken? A little help here? I'm not willing to lay out a few hundred dollars for CodeWarrior

Try PRC tools (http://prc-tools.sourceforge.net/). It's what I've been using.

You can download a demo version of CodeWarrior v8 for free. I believe it limits the size of the program you can write, but it should be big enough to write some simple programs.

CodeWarrior rocks! So far, the best of breed.

I believe that the free demo version of CodeWarrior only lets you run the simulator of a Palm on a PC, you can't actually download any code to the Palm.
