I have several avatars but when I go to load them they say they have to be 50 X 50 Pixels. How do I get them smaller than they are? They will go as a file but not as an avatar. I loaded one of them here and one on another thread for Curious Cat.:D

Download a photo editing program. There are many out there on www.cnet.com, or www.tucow.com, etc.
I use my favorite photo viewing/managing program, ACDSee. It has editing tools like most photo editing programs. Just resize the pic to the required size. If your image is square, then 50x50 it is. If its not, make the largest dimension the 50 and let the other dimension float to keep the proportions the same.
A free trial version of ACDSee can be had at www.acdsee.com, good for 15 days.

Stevevo,

Hmm, that's a tough one. Since your graphic is so much taller than it is wide, shrinking the height down to 50 pixels would make it way too small. I would suggest cropping it down, then resizing it, something like this:

Stymyx - I sense another "Ann" avatar is on the way?

eddiez152 - is that a self portrait? I like the signature. I recall it came from a b&w comedy based in a pow camp. Schultz was the bumbling guard?

You saved some of the good parts in you cropping, but if you cut off most of the head and lower it down that much, you can get the other good parts in too.;)

No way. I thought about posting the cropped and animated version of stevevo's graphic, but then I decided against it.

I don't know what the moderators thought of FunBob's "Bouncing Ann" avatar, or even CaptMike's anime avatar which it was based on. Personally, I think they're "hilarious" and "interesting", respectively, and niether are offensive to me. But sadly, in this age of political correctness (and the stark fear of offending people that political correctness creates), you can't be too careful. I don't think those avatars violate any rules the moderators have set down for this forum, but if they do, I don't want to be the one responsible for the banning of all personal avatars!

Since Srgt Schults or the actor who played him is from Bavaria or
Austria, he was one of my favorite actors. It was a self portrait over the original.
thank you.

ps: from some of my past few posts here on the site, I finnaly got my Garmin unit back in operation.
v5.2.1r3
