Does anyone else experience a lower level battery charge if the memory card is left in the Palm while charging vs without? I used to register a 4.21/4.22 charge but I'm noticing that when I keep a card inserted in the Palm, it only registers to about 4.14 after a full charge. I don't want to keep clicking the card out as I don't think that's good for the eject mechanism.
Also, does the battery discharge at a greated rate with use when the memory card is left in the Palm?
So I was just curious if this is normal or is my battery possibly going on the fritz.
Thanks for any thoughts on this. Mary
AND what is it about these little gizmos that makes us love them so? :)

Probably the battery wearing down. :( Li-Ion batteries last about 2 years. I'm not sure where to get a NEW battery when the time comes.

JohnKes makes a good point about the decline of batteries over time. The first sign that some of the lithium has plaited out is the max voltage after a full recharge.

I though I was reading your post to say that you attain a high voltage when you recharge without the card in the Palm. Is that true? If so then there is something going on with your Palm. The presence of the card should not have an adverse affect on charging or the length of time your battery holds it's charge.

GetHighTech sells USED batteries.

I don't know about LaptopsForLess. Good find, though. I will contact them when my Prism battery goes out.

My Prism battery used to drop 10%/hour of use. Now it is 15%/hour. I just got it last April, but who knows how old the battery really is. It was a clearance item from Dell, then again, Dell keeps minimal inventory.

NOt all of gethightech's batteries are used. But it is always a good idea to ask.
