I have a mako which does not respond to screen tapping at all, but it still works, but the key board still works.
My question is how to bring up the Extras command screen by just key pressing, or how to run an app by key pressing?

you could pretty much use a mako only with keys, but opening an app would be a little tricky becasue wyou would have to use the file explorer to go to system then apps then the app yopu want then the .app file corellating to the app. if you want tohe screen fixe3d by someone other than psion (they are very expensive) try this site.

<< how to run an app by key pressing? >>
Any application can be launched by highlighting its .APP file in the \System\Apps\(program)\ folder and pressing [Enter] but it is a bit of a pain navigating to to the "Z" drive (ROM) for the built-in applications.
If you want to access "Z" drive:
In the System screen select "Menu/File/Create new/File... " and for the file name type z:\anything
It won't create a new file but it will take you to the "Z" drive.
Reversing the process with c:\anything takes you back to the "C"
drive.

The correct web site is www.chasenrecordings.com/psion.html and I can replace your screen, but it the cost is comparable to a new machine.
