Oooh, yeah. More questions! :)
I'm pretty sure this one has been asked before but what's the best way to get Office docs (specifically MS Word and MS Excel) onto my Palm? Is there any useful freeware/shareware for doing just this (so as I can try it out to see if I would make use of such a facility at all or not)? Does anyone else here synch Word or Excel doc.s to their Palm? Is it a memory guzzler (I'm already reaching the limits of my 8MB)?
P.S. I have a IBM Workpad c3 (= Palm Vx) with Palm OS v. 3.5.0.

I personally use Ouickoffice. I like the Word and Excel conduits.
There was a posting and a thread on this subject just a week or so ago, the thread is below.

I prefer Wordsmith in working with MS Word documents, and TinySheet in working with MS Excel documents myself.

QuickOffice is my choice, but there is also WordSmith and Documents to Go.
I personally was very frustrated with Doc2Go, and don't recommend it.
There is also some freeware programs that allow you to do this. I think the following is a link to WriteHere (if I remembered the name correctly).

Demo of QuickOffice:

Demo of WordSmith:

or

I don't know the difference, as I use QuickOffice.
And Doc2Go trial:

Thanks for that info folks.
Found a demo for QuickOffice that I'll try out. One question though, it takes up a huge amount of memory (download of demo = 7MB - does that 7MB mostly end up on the Palm memory or is it mostly for a conduit or converter program for the desktop? Don't know the program in question so don't know if these questions make sense but suffice to say that I don't have much memory free on my Palm ... since I 'adopted' it last month I've used 7.5 of the 8MB memory!

I keep my QuickOffice in Flash, so if you have this option you might want to do same. If you do put it in flash, it will not hotsync properly. To fix this I use Launcher III shortcuts in RAM (freeware for version 2.x, shareware for version 3.x).
QuickChart ~80K
QuickSheet ~251K
QuickWord ~361K
I've not upgraded to the Pro version, so I don't know the size of QuickPoint.

Thanks for that genoahous. I'll give QuickOffice a go and let you know how I get on.
