You guys are great here. I've had my ique for about a month now. Well, actually the first one for only 2 days, but Amazon sent me a new one. This one works great, however I was wondering if there was some way that you could input a waypoint by using latitude/longitude? Need something like that for the geocaching thing my brother is always doing with his gps.
Also, my dad is looking for gps with routing, but doesn't need the pda part. Anybody here used streetpilot III, and how does it compare with the ique? Thanks in advance for all of your help, and for letting me pick up all the tips you guys have given in this forum so far.

It's not that obvious how to do it, this is one way:
1) Display the map, and tap on it so that the white pointer appears.
2) Click on the little flag next to the 'i' on the bar below the map.
3) Tap on edit
4) Tap on location
5) Tap on show info
6) Tap on the coordinates in the location
7) Tap on manual
8) Edit the coords and tap ok.
Simple! :D

Lifes too short to input Geocache waypoints by hand my friend :)
Get "Cachemate" from here: Smittyware (http://www.smittyware.com/palm/cachemate/) and let it do the hard work for you :)
Having said that if you did want to input a waypoint by hand do this: When in Map mode click the waypoint icon (It's the flag at the bottom of the screen), then give it a name, click "edit", cick "location" click "show info" change the coordinates to whatever you want them to be..
Then get cachemate :)

Thanks for your help. I knew there must be a way to do it, just couldn't get there. Thanks again, and also thanks for the geocache link. Appreciate it.

Or in whatever mode, hold the jog wheel for a second, which sets a waypoint where you are. Edit it before you save it, and you get just any coordinates you like.
Another way is to enter the name as an address in the address book of Palm Desktop (assuming you are at your PC), attach a location to it and then hotsync.

I don't follow. How could I edit the coordinates to another format by doing this?

Well, you don't get another format, like Swedish grid instead of lat/lon, but you can enter any position you like, with the currently selected format.

OK, and this then appears to be the fastest way to do it.
BTW, did you get any feedback from Garmin on setting current location to a waypoint?

No. All suggestions go down into a big bucket, and then they pick the ones they like, or the ones that float best.

Next Q: How did you fuse screenshots for one attached image?
I'll make a thread of that Q since it is OT

And I'll answer there, but so did someone else, before I had time to complete my answer.

Ok.. lets say you manually create a waypoint with some coordinates (lat/long) that you manually entered. How do you tell cachemate to use this waypoint??
thanks..

Unfortunately, this is not uncommon. My own home address is listed across the street and about 4 doors down from my actual house in the iQue map database. Of course, I know where I live, but you can't have other people nav to your house when the data is wrong. Small point, because it gets you close enough to see the addresses on the house, but it would be nice to have a way to feedback data to Garmin for map upgrades.

this is my problem too, I've imported a couple of hundred camera's locations but they have to be converted to waypoints for Ique-WPA to see them
I'm now correcting them all by hand... there must be a better way I think.
