My Compac PC is not recognizing the palm hardware.

What type of connection are you running? USB or Serial?
Ensure you have the proper one checked in the hotsync manager. To do this right click on the hotsync icon on the start bar, a drop down menu will come up and check the appropriate field. If this is already done try closing the hotsync manager and restarting it. If you are using the serial port ensure nothingelse is using the port.
