Anyone heard of a successful linux install onto a toshiba pocket pc? Or even an unsuccesful attempt? I've been searching the web and various mailing list archives since I got my e310 last week and can't find anyone who's tried it.
Any info would be appreciated.

Not so far. What is needed, basically, is a utility
to reprogram the bootloader in the flash to boot
some kernel other than Windows CE/Pocket PC.
I've tried the flash utility Boot_Blaster from
handhelds.org, and -while I was surprised it
ran in the firstplace- it seemed to successfully
save out a copy of the bootloader into a file,
for back-up, but had fatal errors when trying to
reprogram flash.
We need a Toshiba-specific utility, I'm sure.
I'm going to try to work on it. A Software
Development Kit doesn't seem to be available
from Toshiba or Audiovox, but I'm going to try
PocketC, downloading it right now from tucows.
In the meantime, watch, and contribute (messages,
work, etc.) to
