I have a Jornada 548, and I would like a program with the ability to beam tasks and calendar items to another pocket pc. Can anyone recommend a good option. I can't seem to find any options built in, and I would prefer if possible something that the recipient didn't need to have. Is that possible? Or do we both have to have the program to do it?

As long as the recipient has a version of Windows CE (2,3, PPC 2002), then you have everything you need. Open either Tasks or Calendar, choose which item you want to beam, then tap and hold on that item. From the drop down list, choose Beam to Windows Powered PPC, or whatever your option is. If the other person is using a Palm, then choose Non-Windows powered, or whatever the 568's option is. That should do it, and the recipient will have the beamed file in their My Documents folder.

Does the person receiving have to choose receive? I tried (I thought) to send and the signal timed out.

Sorry about that... as you choose send, the other person should choose Infrared Receive. With Palm Powered units though, their IR ports are pretty much always on, so their is no need for a receive option for those units. Hope this helps!
