Hello to all,

I have a problem! and, i am sure whoever has the m515 has the same problem.

When keeping the palm in my pocket, it will always turn on by itself.

I changed the settings so, it should shut off after 30 sec.s but is there a way so that it should'nt turn on just from pressing the on button. for instance, to have to press 2 buttons to get the palm pilot on?

Please advise... because its getting me upset...

I hope you get a reply because I have the same problem. What I have done that works some....I have my palm in a palm case, but the bottom of the case hits the buttons on the bottom of the palm. So, I took a wad of dollar bills and stuffed them into the pocket. When I close the case, the money presses on the screen and does not allow the buttons on the bottom of the palm to activate. However, as the dollars flatten, I have to add more. I guess a hard case would prevent this, but I don't want a hard case............waiting for some better fix

Try StayOffHack. You can set which buttons make the Palm turn on with one button, which require 2 buttons. It might work on an m515.

This was also posted a few days ago. I use Power On (similar to Stay Off Hack) and it has worked fine with my M515. You have to hit the buttons or power twice within one second to turn on. Or, you can disable the buttons altogether.

i heartily second StayOff Hack as noted in a thread 7-10 days ago. i have not had a problem since installing this app.

Thanks to all that replied.

I tried both hacks. 1. stayoff. 2. poweron. and, i found stayoffhack much better. it requires 2 buttons in order to be turned on.
