A few small questions. I have only had my iQue for a day, so bare with me.
How do I get streets to display in Que-map? The only raods I see are major interstates.
How do I Que-find ? intersections, cities, lodging & so on are all none found. WHat am I doing wrong?
& I love this thing!
Sounds like you may not have loaded any detailed maps. Have you installed the software on your PC and used MapInstall or MapSource to choose detailed maps to install and then hot synced to get them onto the iQue?

I have installed mapsource & I highlighted my area & synced it to the iQue. Before I loaded mapsource I had no maps, now I have maps, but no detail.
I do not know what mapinstall is.

You need two maps installed. A basemap and a detailed map. It sounds like you only installed the basemap. This would show only the basic roads. The basemap is installed off of the CD that came with your iQue.
You need to use your Palm Desktop program to create your detailed maps, which are then hotsynced to the iQue. Open your Palm Desktop and click on Map Install. Select your maps and options from there. Palm Desktop is installed from the CD.

also, make sure you follow the directions to enter you unlock key. If you don't put your unlock key in correctly you can get into a situation where you think your installing the detailed maps but the iQue can read them because the key was entered incorectly.

If the detailed maps are installed, may still need to increase the detail in "Preferences" "Maps" to a higher level - maybe max. When I installed the detail maps, I still couldn't see anything other than the base until the detail was increased in Preperences.

One other thing to check: In preferences->que->maps->misc make sure that 'Detailed Maps' is checked off or the iQue will only use the basemap.
Dan....
Something I didn't figure out for a long time is the limitation of memory on the IQue. I kept getting hotsync log messages that told me I was out of memory, but didn't know enough how to read them or what they meant.

For installing detailed maps you must have an external memory (SD card), we use to have a 256 Mb card. The internal memory only has 20 Mb, so detailed maps do not have enough space.

That depends on what you're doing. If you're only tooling around town, 20 MB is plenty. Heck, the GPS V uses the same maps and only has 19 MB. That covers 2/3 of the state of Ohio.

You may have to set your map scale down to about 500 feet to get small neighbourhood streets. Only larger main roads show above that level.
