Hello.

I have Earthlink DSL and Netgear wireless router.
I have one Mac wired to router in one room, and another Laptop Mac in the other room which connects to that router via the laptops internal wireless card. Both computers are connected to the internet all the time and there is never a problem.

I just got a TC. Turned it on, it walked me through the set-up, and all was well. I could send email, and surf the web (along with address book, etc.) with my TC all day. Very easy to set up.

I added software like "Battery Graph" and "Net Chaser"--which scans the current area and tells you how many connections are around.

I then read some posts about Web Pro 3 so I bought Web Pro 3 and install that on my TC, so now the TC has both Web and Web Pro 3.

Now I can not connect to the web or send emails anymore. It says "Obtaining IP address" then says "you are out of range or network settings are incorrect." I then go to Network and it says the same thing. I go to Wi Fi and it says the same thing along with "No Signal."

My laptop has a signal. I have gone into the room with the wireless router to try my TC and I get the same messages.

The Net Chaser shows a strong signal.
But when I go to the main TC menu and hit the Command button, which brings up that bottom menu with the "signal strength" meter, that shows no signal.

So, I figured, I'd do a Hard Reset and get the TC back to the way it was, and try again. Still no luck.

Hmmmm. Can anyone please help me?
If you can, could you even email me your phone number and I could call you? That may be easier than a million emails going back and forth.

I really don't know what else to do.
If you could walk me through this, or point me in the right direction, I'd even like to return the favor some how. Maybe I could send you a Starbucks card or something.

I'll really need some help and I'm hoping it's just something fairly simple.

It worked all day, with no problems!
Now I'm stumped. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Quick question - I didn't see any indication of it in your post, but when you do a hard reset, do you do a synch afterwards? That will load all the previous junk back on.

If you've been doing so, try doing a hard reset, then redo the wifi setup immediately afterwards.

Lemme know if that helps.

I have the same apps you mention plus a whole lot more ( I try to keep it at 50% with apps) . Battery graph is not one of them.

I use different wireless networks, depending on my location (home/work). Usually, I go to the prefs, and go thru the WIFi set up. That will keep the T in the active network.

Net chaser does a good job too. However, if I do not clear the list, it still shows other networks no longer within range, and the T will try to connect to them (perhaps I am missing something here too). Net chaser gives you a battery meter as well.

Move a few apps to a card, or delete them temporarily to see if any of them are causing the problem. I had some old apps from the m130 and the m515 days that appear to function on the T but caused more trouble than expected. I just got rid of them and left them in the other handhelds...
