Is there any way to search for a destination and find out points of interest in that area without actually being at the destination??

I have been trying to figure out how to do this.

From the QueFind screen tap the By Name pull down and then chose "near other". You'll then be able to drag the resultant map to a new location and you'll see the POI's based upon that new location - but don't forget to tap done on the map view to set this new location for the search.

You can also select any POI or waypoint, then in the Options menu select Find Near Selected Item. From there you can choose any of the POI categories from the pulldown menu in the upper right corner.
