After installing Bright-IQ I tried to lauch Splashphoto and the IQUE replied with a Fatal Alert Emul68kMain......
So I did the soft reset and launched Spalshphoto again with sucess..
I think that Bright-IQ after launching did not clear the memory of the IQUE..for the following application

I had a number of similar problems with bright-iq and worked with the developer - walt - to fix them. He's very good and it's a great program. It works perfectly now for me. (Thanks Walt)
In the first instance I suggest you download a fresh install of bright iq from his site and try again.

Check the byte size of the bright.prc download. It should be 20,793 bytes. If it's not, try downloading again, and please let me know how you downloaded the first time.
Did you put bright.prc on an expansion card? Funny things might happen in that case - I'm not completely clear about the consequences of having it copied into RAM to run.

Yep I run Bright from the SD-Card

I'm not sure that will work. The Palm OS needs to copy it into RAM to run, and if it somehow gets moved in RAM while it's not active, it will cause the kind of crash you saw.
Chances are, once it is running, it's OK. But I recommend you leave it in RAM.

It seems pretty obvious that apps such as bright-IQ, BatteryGraph, AlwaysOn, DisableButtons etc should not be run from card. Probably CodeDiver belongs to that group also.

FWIW in another thread on "the screech", someone mentioned that he mostly used to get it while running Splash Photo. Perhaps there is something in that program that stresses the system.
Or perhaps not.
The Palm is not a "robust" environment. Everything shares the same memory, nothing much is protected, and avoiding crashes depends on the good behavior of all the programs in the machine, many of which were written by hobbyists.
