Okay, I had this great idea, or so I thought. Maybe someone can help me figure this out since it seems simple on the surface.
I am trying to sync my palm to my laptop and desktop WITHOUT iCal. Palm desktop's calendar just works better for me in a business sense (ie, able to schedule events for weekdays only and dayplanner printing). I have the conduits correct per Apple's website.
Since I have a .mac account I decided to put my Palm Users folder into my Documents folder on the iDisk. I do this with my Quickbooks and it works great. The computers are set to update from the iDisk automatically, so the information stays current. I can open my Quickbooks file with my laptop on the road to do invoices and check accounts.
For some reason the Palm User does not work the same. I put the whole user folder on the iDisk. Everytime I open Palm Desktop it creates another "Palm" file in my hard disk > users > karl > documents folder. I would like to put it in my iDisk > documents folder.
How do I get Palm Desktop to stop creating a new folder and update the one on my iDisk? The iDisk creates a local folder on the computer everytime it syncs. Is there a way to tell Palm Desktop to move the referenced "User" file from the documents folder?
Can anyone think of a solution?
Thanks,
Karl
