Hi,

Does the Netbook Pro have inbuilt support for Cardbus based cards?

No, only PCMCIA Type1 cards.
Cardbus also causes confusion with some older laptops, which do not support it, despite the moniker PCMCIA.
I think I'm right in saying only limited types of PCMCIA cards work in Netbooks as well.
Perhaps someone else can elucidate?

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. I am not really familiar with the in-built drivers for the Netbook Pro, but I was wondering what it might take to support a cardbus based modem. Or is it not going to be possible at all with the hardware that is being currently used?

Yes the hardware in both the netBook & NETBOOK PRO only support 16-bit PCMCIA cards and not 32-bit CardBus cards.
