While browsing for the fugawi software I saw a site which refers it to be compatible with Garmin Ique 3600 V6

What is this v6 ? Version?
Where do you find the version number for your set??

In the native launcher drop down the menu (second button from left) and select Info from the dropdown list. Then tap Version at the bottom of the Info window. If you've done the R3 update you should see Palm OS software v.5.2.1r3 . If you find a 6 let us all know! :)

I think that's the final solution to the short battery life length. I'll refrain from upgrading until they introduce a V8.

Tried that lin, got the "page not found' error. Perhaps they discovered their own error??!? :p

It works now. Press harder on the mouse key when you click on the link. Usually helps.
