If someone provides me a specific GPS coordinate is there some way-- directly or indirectly- that I can set this position as a waypoint on my iQue?

Add an addressbook entry. From the menu, pick the Que -> location. Select "manual" from the choices and enter the coordinates. This is now a waypoint.

(I am doing this from memory, menu and button text may not be exact but you'll find it easily)

I bet I spent over an hour looking for a way to do this-- thanks!

Since you may not have a real keyboard with your iQue (even if they do exist), it's also possible to do this in Mapsource, then import these waypoints into the iQue, using the waypoint import add-in for Palm Desktop. The add-in can be downloaded from Garmin's webpage (when it works).

Yet another method is to attach the location to an address book item in Palm Desktop.

But if you have no computer at hand, then the iQue way is the only way, of course.

What kind of keyboards would that be?

Has anybody found any suitable hook on battery for the IQ?

This link (http://http://www.thinkoutside.com/products/palm-oview2.html) was given in another thread in this forum. There are other keyboards too. Try a search here, and you'll find plenty about it.

Yep, now that I've been pointed in the right direction the Mapsource --> iQue method is what I'll use to create future GPS coord. Waypoints.

Thanks again.
