OS 4.1 for Palm III

Any one happnes to know where to find OS 4.1 (english or spanish) for Palm III. TIA

you can purchase it direct from palm for 29.95 but quite
honestly, i don't know why you would want to. i see no
real reason to upgrade. i have a palm IIIC running os
3.5.2 and it runs better than os 4.1. if it ain't broke, don't
fix it.

Listen to PDAFan on this issue. On the old board we had a number of posts regarding problems with IIIs that had migrated to 4.1. The Palm V/Vx benefits form the upgrade only because the digitizer is less of a pain on Palm Vxs running 4.1 than the earlier Digitizer 3.5. But the digitizer problems on the III are not related to the OS they are cable problems 9 times out of 10.

Just for another perspective...

I've had 4.1 on my IIIc for about a year now and I love it. I've never had a single problem. I also installed 4.1 on my III and IIIxe and those have been great too.

I've yet to have any of them lockup or even give me any kind of error or sync issue. I run all kinds of hacks including overclocking and the OS has been rock solid.

PDAFan - what do you mean when you say 3.5.2 runs better than 4.1? I'm curious.

8/30 - Wait! I take that back. Last night My IIIc gave me a "Fatal Exception" and locked up. 1st time though. And after I said all those nice things about OS 4.1 ;)

leaving me to be probably the only one who is actually glad to have 4.1. the only program that keep's crashing is busker and that is becouse of busker, not the os. i also happened to be one of the 1 out of 10 who did get improvement on the graf. still it is probably best to make a backup of your current os (i think jackflash might be capable of doing that). for the 4.1 flash program just mail me, i will try uploading it somewhere.
