Hi!

Can some one tell me how to capture a live video broadcast (directly from a camera capture) using a media player on an iPAQ. I am using

iPAQ 3600 series
windows media player 7.1

I tried using the live broadcast from windows media encoder, but its not working.

Thanks,
sid

I believe that windows media player 7.1 can't do what you want to do, you need the new windows media player 8 to do that, therefore you do need to upgrade your ipaq to pocketpc2002.

There's a peer-to-peer alternative that will work with pocketpc 2000, take a look at Microsoft Portrait, not as good quality as media encoder.

I'm glad it's working out for you, check that site frequently, they update the program and make improvement fairly often, I've been using it since when you can only do b&w video. And whenever you decide to get newer ipaq, you can try the MS encoder solution as well.
