my palm V has reached the point where it loses calibration every 30 seconds after y resync it with the digitizer or digifix...

i've read up on many people having this problem. what is the cause of this? i believe i am using OS version 3.1 or something near that...

i've heard that version 4.1 fixes this??? is this OS free?

i rarely use my pda, and if so it's for address book and calendar. so i dont feel like spending $$ on a new pda.

OS 4.1 is not free, and probalby won't fix it. It might be a loose digitizer cable inside.

The digitizer and the LCD are two pieces that start life so tightly nit they seem to be one. As time passes so does the strenght of their bond. In time all of the old Vx screens will loose there grip.
A new digitizer is the only real solution.
There is at least one temporay cable fix but it requires taking the Vx in two and if you go that far then an inexpensive digitizer is the long term cure.
