Dear all

I know I'm going to get some stick for this question...

I am setting my Clie PEG-T625 up for standalone Emailing via IR on a suitable mobile phone, as I am on the road frequently. I would like to use my ntlWorld E-Mail account, and cannot determine whether it requires a script or not.

I am in the process of downloading Eudora Internet suite for the Clie and would like to know if this can be configured to work with ntl.

By the way, ntl are useless at customer support, hence the question here to real people!

Thanking you all in anticipation and thanks for not laughing too loudly at me.

I use Virgin, which I believe is an NTL connection behind the branding.

I doubt you will need a script, just configure the username, password and telephone numbers in the Network preference panel and under details deselect the Query DNS option then enter 194.168.4.100 and 194.168.8.100 as the primary and secondary DNS servers.

To get email your mail servers are pop.ntlworld.com (incoming) and smtp.ntlworld.com (outgoing).

The above works perfectly for me.

Thanks Ian, for the help.

I have managed to get hold of a Psion IR Travel Modem, and am attempting to connect, but the Clie returns "no dial tone" report. I assume I will need a command to the modem to initiate the line open command?
