There are three ways to connect while traveling. There is a Palm Modem for the Palm V/Vx they are readily available on the web at gethightech.com. I believe $15 or $20 USD. With the wire modem you will need a phone line and an account with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) such as ATT.net (not AOL).
Your Palm Vx can communicate with many of the newer cellular phone by IR and the phone can act as the modem.
The is a wireless modem for the Palm Vx. If you are in the US the company is Earthlink and the unit is the Novatel Omnisky Modem. THe modem is free when you sign up for a year’s service. About $30 USD a month.
