Sounds like it has reached the end of the road. If you are in the US and want to have it repaired I strongly recommend use Chris Short. Email him at ips@chartermi.net for his take on your problem and the cost of repairing or replacing.

i dont live in america i live in australia so it might be time 2 get a new palm. I was extremly happpy with my palm pilot professinal and if it would still work id use it. i do have a psion series 5mx i do think its better but its a bit hard to carry becuse of its size.

The new Tunsten E is a great bargin in the United States. It sells for $198 US and offers a lot. I paid almost $300 for my first Palm IIIex. I with you it has saved me many a time.
