I am thinking of getting a Sony Clie, but have read that OS5 is coming out later this year/early next year.

Should I wait for OS5 PDAs to become available, or can I easily upgrade the Clie to this when it's released?

I'm particularly interested in the wireless support in OS5; if I upgrade from the current OS, would I get this functionaity?

Sorry! No upgrade to OS 5 will be possible on the SONY or the Palm units now being sold.
You need to decide if you need a handheld and what you want it to do for you. These are tools; you need to know the purpose before you buy the saw. The new OS will not make a great difference in your life if you want to manage your address book and set appointmnets.

Why are you responding to a post that is dated August 19th, 2002 and was already answered perfectly well by Dr Mud that same day? Also, if you look at the poster's profile, you'll see that is the only post that person placed. It's doubtful he/she is still on this board.
