Is there a way to erase more than one address entry at a time? Preferably I would like to delete all of the entries in an entire Category with a single command. When I tried deleting a category to accomplish this, I was told that all of the entries would be moved to "unfiled".

My address entries are stored in Outlook on my PC. I don't seem to be able to sort the entries by categories and erase the entries that way.

I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

Use the Palm Desktop and select all.

My hotsync is mapped to Outlook and the address entries don't show on the Palm Desktop.

Open "Contacts" select "View" select "by category"

I tried this, but even though the category of address entries shows up on the Ique, it doesn't show up as a category on Outlook.

Sorry that I seem to be shooting down all the help I'm getting, but I do appreciate the effort!

In Outlook open contacts, select view, select by category. Go to hot synch mgr, custom, contacts, select Desktop overwrites handheld.

Still no luck. The desktop will not recognize the categories on the handheld. I've tried having the handheld overwrite the desktop and vice versa. Nothing seems to work.

What I want to be able to do is erase all of the waypoints that are being created with CacheMate over time. I always have them created under the Category "caches". I would like to go in and purge them and start fresh occasionally. I just don't seem to be able to find a way other than deleting them one at a time.

I also remembered from my earlier Palm use, that hotsync doesn't transfer Categories through its conduit with Outlook.

how about... install palmdesktop software and sync, delete entries on palmdesktop and sync, then uninstall palmdesktop.

I use Chapura. My categories synch.

Because my hotsync conduit is with Pocket Mirror which is a product of Chapura, I went to the www.chapura.com site to see if there was some instructions to make the categories on the Outlook desktop and the Ique handheld to match. And there was. Go to this address for instructions:

http://chapura.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/chapura.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=9hCbWq7h&p_lva=&p_faqid=365&p_created=1015948226&p_sp=cF9ncmlkc29ydD0mcF9yb3dfY250PTU2MyZwX3BhZ2U9M Q**&p_li=

It is Pocket Mirror Faq #PMO42.

I followed the instructions and now my desktop and Outlook have the same categories. So now I can delete the addresses from the Outlook desktop.

Thanks for your help. You inspired me to find the right answer.
